Thad Ates
President
Thad’s experience as one of the area’s premier single-family custom homebuilders is predicated on three generations of homebuilders. His knowledge and expertise encompasses all aspects of homebuilding, including design, construction, management and sales. Over his 25 years in the homebuilding industry, Thad has worked on several notable communities such as Stonebriar, Starwood, Timarron, and Kingsgate.
Thad’s unique approach to homebuilding, along with his energy efficiency philosophy has earned him admiration and accolades from his peers, as well as praise and gratitude from his customers. Segreto Custom Homes represents the culmination of best practices he has garnered over the years.

Jeff Marchefski
Construction Superintendent
Jeff Marchefski brings over 20 years of construction management experience to Segreto Custom Homes. His expertise spans all aspects of construction, and his responsibilities have included supervision and training of field managers, subcontractor contracts and customer relations for national homebuilders.
Jeff graduated with a degree in construction management from Northwestern State University. He also attended Northeast Louisiana University and completed a carpentry and supervision-training program that involved all aspects of residential construction through each phase of the building process. |

Rustin Perez
New Home Sales Consultant
Rustin Perez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. She is also a graduate of New Home Training Institute. Her combination of skills serves her well in developing a deep understanding of potential homeowners’ needs and aspirations. Trust and communications are the cornerstones of her approach to home sales. Rustin’s three years at Rison Management honed her ability to multi-task and develop superior organizational skills that she applies daily in her role at Segreto Custom Homes. She and her family have lived in Dallas for the past six years. |
