WE DO MORE THAN BUILD HOMES. WE ENGINEER THEM.
energy savings guarantee

A construction technique that goes well beyond traditional homebuilders. Quality control that goes well above typical standards. Segreto Custom Homes uses advanced engineering to create dream homes that other homebuilders only dream of. Every aspect of every home is painstakingly executed, to create living environments unlike any other. Smart looking. Intelligently designed. Flawlessly implemented. That’s a Segreto Custom Home. A home that promises more, and delivers more.

Our Proprietary Foam Infusion® Process.

Segreto Custom Homes use a proprietary Foam Infusion® process that Total Envelopes the home, creating a barrier of insulation that results in unparalleled energy efficiency. This revolutionary foam spray is applied to all exterior walls and roof rafters. It expands within seconds to 120 times its volume to fill every nook and cranny, providing superior energy efficiency and improved indoor air quality. Our foam insulation is a non-toxic spray, which has undergone extensive testing and meets all building code requirements. The Foam Infusion® process reduces airborne noise and dust, making it the healthy choice for those who suffer from allergies, asthma or chemical sensitivity.

A Better Built Foundation.

Segreto Custom Homes understands that good foundation design and construction have significant benefits to the homeowner and can avoid some serious future problems, like cracking and shrinking. A good foundation can also reduce moisture, repel termites and reduce the risk of radon gas. Our foundations are designed by third-party engineers who ensure that the slabs are built to withstand any soil shifting. They personally inspect each phase of slab construction and provide written approvals, ensuring quality control.

A Superior Seal Around Ducts and Doors.

Segreto Custom Homes hires third-party inspectors to conduct tests that ensure our homes’ air tightness. First, a powerful fan is mounted to the frame of the door, which pulls the air out of the house. The higher outside air pressure flows in through all unsealed cracks and openings. The team then conducts a leakage test on all supply-air and return-air ducts of the HVAC system. A tight duct system results in better air flow throughout the house, helping the central heat and air conditioning unit do its job more effectively.

A Revolutionary Tankless Water Heater System.

Segreto Custom Homes use a revolutionary hot water system that is placed on the outer perimeter of the Total Envelope created by our Foam Infusion® process. The system supplies an endless stream of hot water to multiple outlets simultaneously, without any fluctuation in temperature. The tankless water heater is up to 30 percent more energy-efficient than a traditional natural gas water heater and up to 50 percent more efficient than an electric water heater. It can be set to operate at exact user-specifiable temperatures, and provides never-ending hot water to our homes 24 hours a day at the rate of up to 8.5 gallons per minute.

Experience Unmatched Heating and Cooling Efficiencies.

Segreto Custom Homes uses sealed combustion furnaces and small high-efficiency air conditioners to reduce your energy costs. These units are smaller because they don’t work as hard to cool your home. Since hard starts require more energy, we achieve optimum efficiency through smaller units. An air conditioner sized to run continuously will have a lower operating cost due to its longer run times. Smaller units also remove more moisture. Unlike traditional furnaces that draw air from the natural air in the attic and other openings, a sealed combustion furnace draws air directly from the outside through a small PVC pipe connected to the furnace. This eliminates drafts and energy waste. Overall, the air is cleaner and homes are 40 to 50 percent more energy efficient.

We Engage a Third Party for all Inspections.

Segreto Custom Homes assures the utmost quality by hiring third-party engineers and inspectors, who take due diligence to a whole new level. They inspect each stage of the foundation design and construction, and provide written approvals assuring quality control. They inspect the foundation. They inspect the framing before and after the Foam Infusion® process. They inspect every aspect of the home, inside and out, several times throughout each phase of the construction process. Segreto Custom Homes sets stringent standards that far exceed other homebuilders’. It’s the difference between building a good home, and building a great home. Homebuyers have come to expect more from our homes, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Poly-Sealed Windows & Doors.

Segreto Custom Homes poly-seals all windows and doors after installation eliminating any air leakage. The poly-seal also acts as a barrier to drafts and airborne pollutants, maintaining the purity of the conditioned air inside. It’s just one more step we take to ensure an energy-efficient home.

Complete Caulking & Sealing Throughout Every Home.

Segreto Custom Homes caulks and seals all cracks and joints within exterior walls and roof rafters. We even drill beams and fill them with foam insulation when air pockets are detected. The purpose of Total Envelope caulking and sealing is to minimize airflow through cracks and holes in the exterior perimeter of our homes. Controlling air infiltration is one of the most cost-effective, energy-efficient measures we can take in our construction process. A home that is not sealed for air infiltration will be uncomfortable due to drafts and will use about 40-50 percent more energy than our airtight home. In addition, our caulking and sealing process reduces dust and dirt that can enter homes through cracks and holes.
